We Are Back!
Building on Success:
The Sarawak Adventure Challenge (SAC) returns for its 8th edition on October 18th-20th, 2024, once again in Sematan, following a successful 2023 event at Kampung Pueh. And the Big News! The eighth edition will be expanded into a two-day multi-sport adventure race showcasing Sarawak’s spectacular rainforests, rivers, trails as well as fascinating tribal culture.
This year, we are excited to collaborate with XTERRA Trail Run World Championship Series for the SAC trail run (XTERRA Sarawak, Borneo).
The venue for the start of this year’s race will continue to be Pueh Village in Sematan, located 115 km west of Kuching. The race theme is the “Pueh Challenge” highlighting the spectacular mountain and coastal scenery as well as the communities of Sematan and Pueh in Lundu District. With Mount Pueh providing the backdrop, the race will take in the communities, streams and trails near Sematan and Pueh villages.
The registration Cut-Off date is 15th September 2024 (Sunday).

Unique features of SAC 2024 Race
1. International Collaboration
The SAC is excited to announce an international collaboration by partnering with XTERRA, a prestigious off-road triathlon series. To solidify the potential partnership, XTERRA is integrating their XTERRA Trail Run World Championship Series into this year's SAC trail run (XTERRA Sarawak, Borneo).

2. Expanded Event Format
SAC 2024 races will expand from a single day event into a 2-day race weekend providing more events, more categories and allowing more participants. The Duathlon and MTB races will be held on the Saturday (19th October 2024), with the Trail Run categories held on the Sunday (20th October 2024). In line with the XTERRA Trail Run Series, more age categories will be introduced to encourage a wider range of participants.
